Since the transfer of Blythedale Coastal Resort it literally has been ‘all systems go’ in every aspect. Not only on the development itself, but in the ancillary projects that are popping up as a result of the development. Under the banner of the eLan Foundation we have commenced engaging with key role players and stakeholders within the province and will soon start motivating the implementation of a number of community projects in the Blythedale area.

  Blyhtedale Coastal Resort TRANSFERS!




Transfer of the land for the Blythedale Coastal Resort development has finally gone through! This follows a land mark land claim resolution which took place earlier this year. This significant development will be the first true beach resort in Kwa-Zulu Natal and the largest zoned coastal land between Durban and Richards Bay.

The land claim, which delayed commencement of the development for two and a half years, will no longer hamper progress of the resort at all. In fact, buyers who bought at the launch of the development in 2006 will see higher yields as the value of the land has risen significantly in this time.

However, the people who stand to benefit the most from the development will be the Dube community and the current farm residents. They will have first option on the 80 000 jobs that will become available over the ten year construction period and will have the chance to live at Blythedale Hills, the development’s integrated social housing component, a move that has earned the development a “Flagship” and “Blueprint” title by government.

  John Smit plays the property game with eLan

Hundreds of boating enthusiasts descended on The Dome exhibition centre for a glimpse of what the industry has in store for summer and they were not disappointed. The magnificent Fairline Targa 38 took pride of place on the outside precinct attracting a constant crowd of people who queued for hours to get on board. Boating World's team was hard-pressed to give each one a fair chance for a first-hand viewing of this breathtaking cruiser, which towered resplendent among the surrounding exhibits.

A model of the very latest 43 Sport Express from Riviera was displayed inside the main arena - a huge draw card to their stand. This miniature version of the exciting new option from the Australian boat manufacturing giant complemented the outstanding pictorial display of the wide range of boats Boating World makes available to South Africa's discerning boaters.
