ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE WEEK 1 ROUND UP
Well, the Premier league kicked off with skills, shocks, and plenty of goals. The first game was a layer at the Emirates Stadium with Arsenal beating Leicester 4-3, with a disputed hand ball from Ozil, helping Arsenal to gain the advantage.
Liverpool were held 3-3 at Watford, Man City started well with a convincing two nil win at newly promoted Brighton. Manchester United beat West Ham 4-0, whilst Premier League newcomers and one of my tips to be relegated had an amazing 3-0 win away at Crystal Palace, Spurs saw off newly promoted Newcastle, at St James Park 2-0, with goals from Dele Ali and Ben Davies.
The biggest shock came at Stamford Bridge, where the Champions Chelsea were convincingly beaten 3-2 by Burnley, another of my tips to be relegated, Burnley only won one game away from home last season and this was a massive surprise.
After the match, Conte was blaming the club for not giving him the money to strengthen the squad, which sounds like a very clear message to Mr. Abromovich to give him money to spend before the end of the transfer window.
Everton got off to a winning start, beating Stoke 1-0, West Brom also won 1-0, whilst the bore draw came at Southampton, a 0-0 against Swansea.
My week 2 predictions
Swansea 1 v 2 Man United
Southampton 2 v 1 West Ham
Bournemouth 2 v 1 Watford
Liverpool 3 v 1 Crystal Palace
Leicester 2 v 1 Brighton
Burnley 2 v 1 West Brom
Stoke 1 v 2 Arsenal
Huddersfield 1 v 2 Newcastle
Spurs 3 v 1 Chelsea
Man City 2 v 1 Everton
Have a good week
