On September 25th 2015, countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years. For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part, Governments, the private sector, civil society and all the people of the world.
Last Summer I was asked to take part in the Dizzy Goals Challenge, to promote the United Nations Global Goals campaign http://www.globalgoals.org, working to get the world to join arms to improve our beautiful planet.
I was on holiday in the Kruger Park, South Africa when I received the call from Global Goals to take the challenge to help raise awareness of Global Goals. I was asked to take a penalty, which sounds easy enough, however you had to have two footballs, placed in a line, one on the penalty spot and the other about three metres behind it, you had to put your hand on the ball furthest away from the goal and run around the ball eleven times as fast as you can, you then had to take the penalty. It all sounded easy enough, however I did not have two footballs in the Kruger Park and had to use Elephant poo, to put my hand on and run around, have a look at the video below to see my attempt!
