South Africa is back on the map as an attractive destination for foreign investors. Our home city, Durban, is proactively promoting the region as an investment destination and the eLan Property Group is 100% onboard!

We will be in London this week as part of the high-level delegation visiting the UK to promote both the province and Durban as a premier investment destination.

The message the delegation will be taking there is that Durban and the whole of KwaZulu-Natal is a perfect investment destination. If you look at Durban and the province, we have the biggest port in Africa, and the best infrastructure, “ says to the City Mayor’s spokesperson.

We are participating in the London leg of the trip and still have a few appointments open if you are in the capital city and would like to meet. We will be presenting a portfolio of options, the main thrust of our visit is to secure investors in Blythedale Coastal Estate – our 1,000-hectare jewel on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast.

More specifically, we are looking for partners – joint developers, resort operators, or financiers for the Beach Resort Complex which will include the following three elements:

  • A 600-unit 4* beach resort
  • A 180-unit apartment hotel
  • An 80-room boutique hotel

In addition, we would like to meet with potential partners for the group’s listing on the Mauritius Stock Exchange, to purchase ancillary properties, and to work with us on other nodes, such as the retirement complex, within the estate.

The KwaZulu-Natal region is on the cusp of a growth and the delegation will also be meeting with British Airways, following last month’s announcement of the new direct route between Durban and London. Direct flights will not only allow holidaymakers to escape the cold northern winters but also link business travellers to the busiest port in South Africa.

Please get in touch with the eLan Property Group Development Director, Andrew Thompson, or Financial Director, Cobus Naude on info@elan.co.za  to set up a meeting.
