The International Investment Drive is taking place at St Ermin’s Hotel in London, from 9-10 October 2019. Invest Africa is coordinating the event, which is set to connect prominent KZN development companies with investors from the UK. Delegates from Dube TradePort and Aerotropolis, Zimbali Lakes, Umhlanga Arch, and Blythedale Coastal Estate will be travelling to the UK for this intimate investment conference.

Each of these developments differs in scope and scale, and all have something uniquely wonderful to offer the KZN North Coast. Dube TradePort and Aerotropolis is set to attract R1 trillion of investment to the region that surrounds King Shaka International Airport, and will cover an immense 32 000ha of land, creating up to 750 000 employment opportunities. The other three developments, while smaller in scope, will be realised sooner than the completion of the Aerotropolis, which has a 50-year development horizon. Zimbali Lakes is a new chapter in the Zimbali story, and is set to be a beautiful mixed-use residential development. The Umhlanga Arch is a large mixed-use commercial development, featuring upmarket offices, first-class retail, a superior hotel and luxury apartments. Finally, Blythedale Coastal Estate is a luxury mixed-use residential development, that is set to define eco-smart living in South Africa.

Leading the delegation will be eThekwini Municipality’s new mayor Mxolisi Kaunda, and new deputy mayor Belinda Scott. They hope to encourage foreign investment in the North Coast of KZN, one of the most promising, investor-friendly, and fastest-growing development regions in the country.

On 9 October, a reception will be held for the businesses and 100 guests, at South Africa House, Trafalgar Square, and co-hosted by HE Ms Nomatemba Tambo, the SA High Commissioner to the UK. On 10 October, from 09h00 – 17h00, private B2B meetings are being scheduled in different conference rooms at St Ermin’s Hotel in Westminster, London. Please contact if you’re based in London and would like to book a slot.
