When you look at the way things are moving – driverless cars, robot lawyers, delivery drones – it makes you wonder where we’re headed and what kind of work will our kids be doing.
At eLan we’re integrating tech into every aspect of our business. And it’s exciting. At Blythedale Coastal Estate, for example, the latest technology will enable us to deliver improved efficiencies with bulk services, hassle-free but tight security, paperless admin and communication. It’s revolutionising estate living.
Another advantage of the digital age is the flexibility it brings in terms of location. With virtual work more of a reality, you can choose where you live based on the lifestyle it offers, rather than your proximity to the office. Living, even part-time, in the paradise that is Mauritius or on KZN’s beautiful North Coast, becomes more of a possibility.
No matter how clever tech is, the focus of our business remains on people and their needs we meet. We’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing people this year and, even in a tough economic environment, there are opportunities out there and fun to be had.
As this is our last newsletter for the year, I’d like to wish you and your loved ones abundant happiness over the festive season and a prosperous, peaceful 2018.
